I started painting and drawing exactly one year ago on the 25th Dec....
My Brother bought me a Cotman watercolour paint set for Christmas now I've retired, to fill my time...but I was not prepared for the way it has completely taken over my life...I draw/paint every single day now and if I don't do it one day I get withdrawal symptoms???
Sounds daft don't it?...I am frightened to death of adding up the money I have spent on Art supplies this year...I had nothing not even a pencil...I had loads of paper though...for my printer hehehe... paper is paper right!!?... or so I thought...I didn't know if I could draw or not but I gave it a bash and ...it turns out I can draw!
Anyway about Feb this year I had a crack at doing a horse which at the time I was quite chuffed with...and last night I did another one in Pastel pencils that I bought yesterday...and what a massive difference between the two...amazing!!!... at least I can see myself improving...heh...I couldn't really have gotten much worse...
I know there is loads of room for improvement from this attempt, so I will do another one in about six months to see if there is much difference again...all the best
