Avocet Water Foul

Avocet Water Foul

Hi,

This piece was done with watercolor pencils and water color markers. Kept the surface fairly wet then applied a final water wash. After drying; applied pastels, water color pencils & markers and worked over image with wet brushes. I did crop this to fit.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Betty

The GM Antz Team

by Sylvie
(Gold Coast, Qld, Australia)

This drawing has been done for a book written on the stock market. It is the last drawing in the book and combines all the characters that are found in the 9 chapters. The author (my husband) asked me to do the drawings so there would be some humor in the book.

Because of this I have started with a website which contains a number of drawings. I hope you like it. Let me know if you want to see more!
Regards
Sylvie

Wolves

by Marty
(U.S.A.)

Hello Everyone:

I used Black, white, blue, gold and green paints for this picture. I used popsicle sticks for the frame, Black cardboard for my canvas and small paint brushes. I used the greenpaint for their eyes.

It took me about 15 minutes to paint the wolves. It took me about 30 minutes to make the frame.

I made this for my wife. We have been married for 31 years this October 24th. You will see it before she does because she is at work right now. Plus if I showed it to her first then she wouldn't give it back to me so I could put it here on Kerry's great website. I just had to share it if all of my friends here.

Please let me know how you like it.

Kindly

Marty!

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Marty,
Are you for real? This is awesome! You created a fantastic piece of art in a very short amount of time. That takes unbelievable talent!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary Marty.

Finding Nemo

by Jubi
(Ekm,Kerala,India)

I draw this picture after watching the movie Finding Nemo...

Finding Nemo is a 2003 American computer-animated film.

It tells the story of the overly protective clownfish Marlin, who along with a regal tang called Dory, searches for his son Nemo. Along the way he learns to take risks and to let Nemo take care of himself.

It's a cute film.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Jubi,
You're right, it is a cute film but your drawings are even cuter! Your artwork continues to shine, just like you.

Parrot

by Sara P.
(New York, United States )

This is my copied painting of a parrot poster I once saw and I much enjoyed the coloring and shaping of it so I decided to paint it.

It just attracted my attention. Its eye seeming so focused and all its details so sharp.

Hope you enjoy it!

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Sara, I have enjoyed viewing your painting, thank you for sharing it! You've captured the Parrot so perfectly, it's a great piece of artwork, well done!

Panda

by rachel

I did this using watercolours. I tried to use the running colours and the spraying in the background to get a look of sadness, but I don't think that worked out too well.
I've really never been so good at painting, but I think this would have been better if it was a bit more defined. Any tips would be helpful, thank you :)

Note from Kerry:
Rachel, you can draw all subjects very well. That is a talent that not all of us possess. Your painting is unusual and good!

Kitty

Kitty

We always see how the cat always tries to catch the mouse and goes through really rough times to get to him so I came up with the idea to have the cat make friends with the mouse..

Holy Elephant

by Viswanath Rao
(Pune INDIA)

Again, cardboard - covered with black paint; drawn an elephant on a white paper, stuck it to the card board, I used gold glitters for bordering; and poster paint to color the elephant.

Just to add, the elephant is a holy animal that usually is seen in many Indian temples.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Viswanath
This is very colorful and attractive. It's great to see you're using your creative energy with wonderful results.
