Laurel & Hardy

Laurel & Hardy

A few years ago, after making new friends with a couple whilst on Holiday on the Island of Majorca, we visited them in their home town and picked up a print in a small shop.

The print hangs on a wall at home and I decided to copy it, the original artist is unknown. I used a 4B and a B, pencil for this one. Hope you like it.

***Note from Kerry:
Of course it's good, Mif. There's so much detail and everything, well done.

Chilled Out

Chilled Out

This was copied from one of my wife's crafting stamps.

I love the exaggerated proportions of this child as she finds a moments peace. She sat on a fence somewhere in England's green and beautiful land. Mif

***Note from Kerry:
Mif, this is completely gorgeous.

Ship Ahoy

Ship Ahoy

This was copied from a booklet I picked up in a 2nd hand book store in my hometown.

I used a 2h pencil to do a fine outline then went over some of the lines with a 0.8 and 0.2 art pen, a 6B pencil was used for the dark black areas and water colour pencils to fill in.

I really enjoyed doing this one. Hope you like it .

***Note from Kerry:
Gee Mif, it's spectacular! This would have taken a lot of patience to achieve. Well done to you.

Getting My 5 A Day

Getting My 5 A Day

I copied this from a book by Barrington Barber, my son Danny tasked me to draw this one.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Mif! Thanks so much for sending in a drawing. It's so great to know you and to be able to look at what you can create.

I am a huge Barrington Barber fan. I haven't copied this one though - it would take a heap of patience, so, ... well done!!

Man Alone With His Thoughts

Man Alone With His Thoughts

This is the second copy sketch that I did, after my wife had given me a nudge back into drawing.....

I was, and still am happy with this one!

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Mif! Your title says it all, it's a very thought provoking drawing - I like it too.

Hope

Hope

I copied this in 2b and 4b pencil from a book I have, it depicts 3 men in the 1930's economic depression in the USA.

My wife has since framed it for me.

***Note from Kerry:
I think this is very good, Mif. I'd frame it, too!

It must be lovely to have your wife as your number one fan, she is providing you with terrific encouragement.
