Drawing Of A Bird Table
I bought myself a pocket sized sketch book a good five months ago, but up to very recently, I didn't draw anything in it. Silly really - but I was afraid of spoiling it!
The time came when I was off on a trip to Wales, which is very pretty and I really wanted to practice sketching while I was there. I decided that rather than take a completely empty sketch book with me, which seemed a scary thought, I would fill the first page before we left for the trip.
This is the bird table in our garden viewed from the upstairs window.
I drew this using pen & wash, which I was inspired to try by somebody else who had left pen & wash sketches on this site.
It was the first time I had ever used it and I thoroughly enjoyed it too. It took me roughly ten minutes and I was very happy with the result!
**Note from Kerry:
I can see that your hand/eye co-ordination is getting into a good rhythm now, Sandra. This is a great drawing. I'm impressed it only took 10 minutes, you are good!
It would be Bill (from Darwin, Australia), who has influenced you with his pen and ink wash. I'm a big fan of his, too.
