My Wife's Batman and Catwoman Drawing

My Wife's Batman and Catwoman Drawing

My wife drew this. She wanted something romantic and cartoonish to draw.

This particular drawing took her six and a half hours to draw and this was non stop drawing. When she finished i was astonished at how realistic it looked.

***Note from Kerry:
It's obvious you are very proud of your wife and I can easily see why! It's a terrific drawing! I think it's great.

Lion King

The Royal Look of Lion King

The Royal Look of Lion King

This was my second sketch after I started sketching (First was a calvin sketch as I am BIG fan of calvin).

When I had a look at the original snap of Lion King, I was almost unsure whether I can complete this sketch with complete shading, without ruining the sketch.

It is this doubt, which made me scan the sketch before shading itself, so that if the sketch gets ruined during shading, I can at least have the pencil sketch without shading, with me :)

The fact which makes me proud about this sketch is that I just used one single HB pencil and achieved different shading effect by controlling the pressure on the pencil.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Abhishek, all I can say is Wow, you have done a brilliant job of the Lion King. It's really amazing that you only used a HB, well done!

Oldy Spiderman

Spiderman Drawing

Spiderman Drawing

Ok, this is called an 'oldy' Spiderman picture. I don't think Spiderman will ever grow old after seeing this picture! (Superheroes never grow old, heh heh!)

I drew this almost four years ago. I found it in an old notebook. This is one of my favorite pictures. Why? Because I used color in it! I am usually afraid of using colors because I think I might mess em' up!

This painting is again done by ball point pen. But the basic shape was drawn in pencil. Then I added details and colors with a red and a blue ball pen. I tried to add the shadow of the face - which I didn't get quite right.

Thanks to all my AAD(all about drawings. kHik!) friends!

The techniques I use were learned by myself, but cartooning is the thing I'd like to do every day.

Some ideas of new characters comes to me all the time, but I still have some difficulty to put them on the paper.

But I never give up! Someday...

See the drawing of my alter ego Osmar Caco.

She had asked me if I would color it for her (left) and I was more than excited to. I really love doing co-lap drawings with her. This one is now one of my favorites :)
