My Wife's Batman and Catwoman Drawing

My Wife's Batman and Catwoman Drawing

My wife drew this. She wanted something romantic and cartoonish to draw.

This particular drawing took her six and a half hours to draw and this was non stop drawing. When she finished i was astonished at how realistic it looked.

***Note from Kerry:
It's obvious you are very proud of your wife and I can easily see why! It's a terrific drawing! I think it's great.

Lion King

by Abhishek KR
(Bangalore, Karnataka, India)

The Royal Look of Lion King

The Royal Look of Lion King

This was my second sketch after I started sketching (First was a calvin sketch as I am BIG fan of calvin).

When I had a look at the original snap of Lion King, I was almost unsure whether I can complete this sketch with complete shading, without ruining the sketch.

It is this doubt, which made me scan the sketch before shading itself, so that if the sketch gets ruined during shading, I can at least have the pencil sketch without shading, with me :)

The fact which makes me proud about this sketch is that I just used one single HB pencil and achieved different shading effect by controlling the pressure on the pencil.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Abhishek, all I can say is Wow, you have done a brilliant job of the Lion King. It's really amazing that you only used a HB, well done!

Sponge Bob Square Pants

For me, Sponge Bob Square Pants is my favorite thing to draw and it so easy as well.

Most of my drawings are based on the cartoons of Sponge Bob.

Ever since I was a child, drawing is my passion.

Great Drawing
by: Anonymous

This is a wonderful drawing! Did you sketch this from the TV? If you didn't, I think you should try it. I have an idea for drawing Sponge Bob: instead of square, he is a slight trapezoid shape, with the top of his head being bigger.

Oldy Spiderman

by Probal
(Bangladesh)

Spiderman Drawing

Spiderman Drawing

Ok, this is called an 'oldy' Spiderman picture. I don't think Spiderman will ever grow old after seeing this picture! (Superheroes never grow old, heh heh!)

I drew this almost four years ago. I found it in an old notebook. This is one of my favorite pictures. Why? Because I used color in it! I am usually afraid of using colors because I think I might mess em' up!

This painting is again done by ball point pen. But the basic shape was drawn in pencil. Then I added details and colors with a red and a blue ball pen. I tried to add the shadow of the face - which I didn't get quite right.

Thanks to all my AAD(all about drawings. kHik!) friends!

Very good!
by: Sandra Busby

I think it's clever that you have made this look so 3 dimentional with just a couple of ball point pens! You obviously have a knack to this. I am wondering - if you can produce this from ball point pens, what you could create with pen & wash? You obviously love using ink. Maybe it's time you had a go and trusted your talent! I would love to see your first attempts at that, as part of what is so interesting and unique about this site is that you can watch people improving as time goes on. So, keep at it!

Well i don't actually watch the show, but the way the characters look just captivate me! just looking at photo's of them makes me laugh. and the fact that i haven't really seen the show, lets me make up personalities for them.

Well i am only 13 yrs old so don't expect greatness, but I'm getting better! your opinion would be greatly appreciated!

Perfect!
by: Anonymous

I think you did an amazing job with this! Drawing in a specific style can be pretty challenging (and fun, too), but you still captured Family Guy style perfectly. I've found that Adventure Time style is pretty fun to draw with (pretty much everyone has noodle arms!). Also, to improve, a good challenge would be drawing the same character in a bunch of different styles. Keep drawing; this is awesome!

You could evenstart your own line of children's ebooks and or real books.

Family Guy
by: Marty

Hello, John;

Hey what can I say but a great big WOW! I think all your characters are great and they are also different. Have you ever thought about making your own comic strip and create your own characters for the comic strip? I live in Fairmount, Indiana-U.S.A. It is the hometown of Jim Davis the creator of " Garfield The Cat " and the hometown of the late actor " James Dean "

He starred in " Rebel without a cause " East of Eden " And another one that slipped my mind.

Well he is a multi-millionaire because of Garfield the Cat.

Just believe in yourself and go for it.

P.S. I need some cartoon characters for a story I have been working on for five years now. Anyone out there that would like to draw me some cartoon characters?

John keep up the great artwork and give us more.

Kindly
Marty!
