My Sister's Card

by Nicki
(United States)

My sister knows that I love drawing and she thinks that I'm pretty good at it so she asked me if I could draw her her Christmas card this year. This is what I came up with! Frosty is on the front of the card and the two Snoopy are what you see when you open it up.

Note from Kerry:

Hi Nicki,
Your card is delightful. You almost tricked me with the birthday bit on the front!! It has great artwork plus humor, I'm sure your sister will just love it. You are such a sweetie!

My own Sesame Street people

by jessica
(australia)

A different character
A doctor, chef, king, superhero and a fairy

Once I was trying to draw Elmo but it wasn't looking anything like him but then I had an idea to make my own.
So I randomly drew all different kinds of characters.

Note from Kerry:
This is very creative work, Jessica, so I hope you keep it up!

Stubborn Dog

by Nicki
(United States)

I have a few cute pictures that I'd like to draw and today I decided to draw one so I chose this one. There really isn't that much to it.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Nicki!
It's great to see another of your creations. You are being too humble by saying there isn't much to it - I think it's great! Looking at your drawing made me smile so you've done a good job today!

On Wood

I drew this picture in woodwork class at school.
I drew it onto a piece of wood and then my teacher cut it out for me.

Note from Kerry:
This is a great keepsake! I really admire what you have done. Please make a comment here (below) to let me know your name and I will add it to your beautiful piece of work. You really do deserve to receive all credit that comes your way.

Edited:
I've added your name - thanks for letting me know, Jessica!
Michael was referring to me being from Oz but he is everywhere on this site too - a bit like a piece of furniture around here - and I love him to bits.

The Star of the Show

by Sue Bledsoe
(Tennessee)

Poor Nemo

Poor Nemo

I finally drew Nemo. I thought it would be relatively easy--WRONG. Notice how sad he is to be saying good-bye to someone. I spent a looong time trying to make him look sad.
Mostly I used a #2 mechanical pencil (.05 ml) and again with the eraser. I am not an artist. I am an erasist. (Not racist--erasist).
I am going to just start blacking in a whole page of paper and erase my drawing in. My photography is not very good here and if you want, I can try to take a better pic.
But I am pleased with Nemo. It was worth the effort and took my mind to a happier place.

artist
Note from Kerry:
Hi Sue
I think he looks great! You've managed the expression just fine.
Ha ha, I am also an erasist! You've just created a new class of artist. Actually, I have seen artwork where the picture is created from erasing graphite from the paper -- it's very effective. Messy though!

Btw, if you take any pics that you like better, just send it in and let me know you want it on this page. All drawings lose a little something in the transition from real life to internet so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The medium is pencil watercolors-

Dennis, I think they look terrific! Each one is worth its own study and altogether it makes an interesting page of artwork. Great work!

Red Parrot

This again was a drawing that I did at my grandma's.
I was thinking of my friend (who likes parrots) and I thought to myself that I had never drawn a parrot before so I picked a cute picture (modified it a little bit, putting in my own "spizzaz") and came out with this parrot...

***Note from Kerry:
Nicki, I like your "spizzaz"!! Well done!
