Deer or Elk?

I'm not really sure. It started out to be a deer until I saw some beautiful elk grazing in a valley that I frequently cross. Any opinions (yes, I know it needs more work)?

Hello Sue:

I love your sketch and or drawing of the Deer or Elk. When I was trucking and when I was driving out west I saw a lot of Deer and Elk. And this drawing reminded me of that time. It was like a flash back. It gave me good memories when I saw your drawing. Keep up your great art.
