Downtown Sioux City Iowa
I ran across another old photo of downtown Sioux City, Iowa. This one is a drawing of what it looked like in the 1940s.
I really enjoy drawing historical buildings. It is quite the challenge with all the lines and shapes.
The clock tower still stands in Sioux City, and today it is over 100 years old. The clock is no longer there, but I think is still a fantastic piece of our history.
It seems I really need to invest in a ruler for the straight lines. Even though I am really happy with the way this one turned out.
***Note from Kerry: Hi Patty, it seems to me that you don't need a ruler at all. Your lines are perfect. I prefer to see a little wobble in the lines than to see perfectly ruled lines. It makes the drawing more "yours". It's very good!
