This is the first time i have drawn a Squirrel since i was at school ..
***Note from Kerry: That's a terrific drawing, Evangelise. Well done!

Sneaky Squirrel

Sneaky Squirrel
I used to sit in my back yard with my camera on a tripod to take pics of the birds. I had bird feeders and a birdbath so there was never any shortage of squirrels back there trying to find a way to the food, and this lil fella was no exception.
This was my first attempt at drawing wildlife so I was quite happy with it. I tend to go from never drawing to always thinking about it! I hope this time around I stick with it because I find alot of satisfaction in it! Thanks for looking!!
***Note from Kerry: Hi Robert, I hope you continue to draw because this is very well done and I really like it. I especially love the way you did the knot on the tree.

My Easy Drawing Was A Baby Panda
by Ronald James Ferreira
(Wailuku Maui Hawaii)
Baby Panda Drawing
I drew a baby panda - a stuffed toy I have at home. I have many stuffed animals to draw when I'm not doing anything.
I find the grid method easy to do when I'm very tired. This way I put the lines in every square in the lines like the picture.
I'm planning on making a how to draw with a grid so people can enjoy it and how to go about it. It took me months to do it.
I enjoy doing portraits and see the life in my work. I'm sure if you like pandas you'll enjoy my work.
**Note from Kerry: This is well done, Ronald. It's good to see you're using the tools to get the results you want.

Sybilesque

Feeding Time
I am a total beginner who likes to paint and draw. So far my drawings don't have the shading to look realistic. I want to do portraits, which I know is a hard subject. I have purchased many books to learn the subject, and continue to try. I will not give up. I do love it.
***Note from Kerry: Well look at you, Tammy! Can you see how much you have improved from the start? I think it's just great. It gives me great delight that you are loving your art. Keep going!

Three bats

Three bats
Here is another drawing that I did from a picture book, using the draughtsman's net or grid. That is a frame with small squares using cord. The frame is placed on the picture.
Also, on the drawing paper, I draw the lines to match the squares on the frame. Don't press too hard on the paper as it will leave lines on it. So, I do hope you enjoy these.
***Note from Kerry: Hi Joseph, that's an interesting drawing. I like the way you have used the grid, I must try that out.

Pets Anyone?
Hello Everyone.
Here's a drawing I did just using a # 2 pencil.
I have art pencils, however I keep some paper and a pencil on the coffee table in front of the TV. Well, when the thought enters my great creative mind (I have to brag a little on me, as I'm the only one I have ) Hee, Hee, back to my story, -- I just start drawing lines and well, this is what came from it.
I do hope you enjoy it, you can also print it out and let your kiddies color it.
Thanks....Marty!
***Note from Kerry: Hi Marty, This is a fantastic drawing considering you drew it from your imagination with only a series of lines to start with. I have to stop and admire drawings just like this, thank you so much for explaining how it came about, that really makes a difference with my appreciation of art.

Bison
by Marc
(BC Canada)
Bison
I used a stick that I carved at an angle on the end, and then I used that with black ink to sketch the Bison. I then used charcoal to give the paper a stone or rock finish.
***Note from Kerry: Wow, Marc! This is great! Thanks so much for telling us how you got your effects and the tools you used to do the sketch. It really makes a difference when we view your work.

My 4 year old brother's tortoise
My 4 year old brother drew this. His name is Dani Firas. He likes your site very much and it is his dream to see his drawings on this site.
Your site is really an encouragement for little artists like him.
Note from Kerry: Hello Diya and Dani, I must say I am very impressed with Dani's drawing. Gosh, he has done such a brilliant job of drawing a tortoise, it's incredible this artist is only 4 years old! Good job, Dani, keep drawing!
Thank you Diya, for being a great sister and helping your brother's dream come true. It's very sweet of you... xx

Dragonfly Name Tag
by Bexii
(Aurora, Philippines)
Dragonfly Drawing
This is the name tag that I use for my Christian Living/Christian Formation classes.
The dragonfly represents myself, the tree is peace, the words by Amelia Burr a reminder to love life and "JC" is myself (I just like to call myself "Bexii").
The grass and flowers at the base of the tree are pretty extras (in the drawing and in my life) and the tiny butterflies are other people. There's one small dragonfly amongst the butterflies and that's me: different from everyone else.
I did the smudges with a bad eraser. It couldn't erase things properly and it just smudged up the page so I used it to create the grey background.
I learned how to draw the tree and the big dragonfly here at allaboutdrawings.com. =)
***Note from Kerry: Hello Bexii I'm so pleased you sent in your drawing to show me. Your story is lovely, I love the way you have described everything and told us what the drawing symbolizes. It's no wonder you are proud of your first attempt.

Hungry Squirrel

Hungry Squirrel
Graphite on A5 paper. A first attempt at drawing after many, many years of not having picked up a pencil.
Drawn to show a grey squirrel finding food on a bird table in an English winter - much like it is here in Kent at the moment!
***Note from Kerry: I love your drawing style, Roy. This drawing is so well done with your attention to detail and the overall effect.
