Another Flower

The Real Flower

The Real Flower

Well, I have posted my Dead Tree drawing and I thought I'd show you another flower that I drew.

I seem to like drawing flowers and trees but I hope to improve to faces and bodies later in my development.

***Note from Kerry:
Russell, it's obvious that you have a great interest in nature and there's nothing wrong with that. If you try to draw something that you're not interested in, you might find yourself reluctant to draw. When you are learning, if you keep with things you love to draw, your enthusiasm will stay alive.

Hello Again Russell;
I found a face on your flower and also a bird. There may be more. I will look at it more as I am saving it to check later.
You are really doing great and I just love your artwork.

This drawing reminded me of when I used to be a hunter. It is a scene from a how to draw book. My first time trying to put a stream or water into a drawing.

***Note from Kerry:
I love this Russell! You must be getting a great collection of drawings together, I like your style!

First Flower

First Flower

This was my first attempt at drawing a flower and I really enjoyed the work involved to make it appear like a flower.

This is new to me but it really relaxes me when I draw.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Russell, it's great to have you here! Your carnation is wonderful! You certainly picked a difficult flower to draw first up but gee, you've done such a good job with this. Welcome to the world of drawing, I hope it brings you much pleasure.

Hello Russell;
Hey I noticed in this drawing a Fish and a running Stream plus a Lobster Claw.
I am very glad you are sharing your drawings with us as I love to see what I can find in artwork. I believe when we draw or paint we will have items in our work that we don't see but other people that studies the drawings can see more.
I think it could be our inner mind that helps us to show our works as no other can. You see each piece of artwork is special and no two shall ever be alike.
So thank You for your Fantastic and Amazing Drawings.

I saw this in one of the drawing books that I recently purchased and thought I would do it in color.

***Note from Kerry:
Thanks for sharing your experiments here, Russell. I am a bit of a graphite freak but that doesn't stop me from admiring other mediums.

Interesting Portion

I recently started drawing and found that I really enjoy this for relaxation.

I'm new at this and have read several paper backs on drawing and looking on the internet for tips/ideas.

***Note from Kerry:
Gee Russell, you are very good for a beginner! I think you might have a natural talent. Good job!
