Flowery Twig

by Sushree Kalpana Chand
(Odisha,India)

Hi again! I saw this in the garden and thought of sketching it! I tried this with colors too but i liked this one more.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Sushree
I am sure I'd prefer this one over the color one too. As much as color is beautiful, black and white is like a magnet to me. I like the background too, it's perfect!

Flower

by Rachel
(England)

I'm not too sure what this flower is. I just saw a picture and thought it was pretty so wanted to have a go.

I think it would look better with some colour but I'm a little scared to try lol

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Rachel,
It looks like a Lily - they are such an attractive flower and you have done it justice (again). Good job!

Flo

Flo

I was sitting by myself a dreary night and was wondering what to do. I decided it would be a good time to catch up on my art homework thus flo the flower was born.

***Note from Kerry:
Deanna, this drawing really shows that you have such patience -- a very good quality for any artist. It's lovely, good work.

Lily

by rachel
(england)

I sat in my aunts garden and saw this flower and thought it was beautiful, so for the next half hour sat and drew it.

I know its not a great drawing but I just wanted to have a go. I would love to learn to draw from life better, but it never seems to turn out how I want.

***Note from Kerry:
Rachel, you have drawn the lily perfectly. You are a harsh self-critic and you need to be kinder to yourself. I hope you show this drawing to your Aunt, she would probably love to have it hanging in her home.

A Lady In Flower

by Mayur Kabariya
(Pune, Maharashtra, India)

This is one of the simple drawings that i have made.

I like to draw .. and so i m learning it ..

I m collecting information on how to learn drawing and how to draw faces etc ....

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Mayur,
We all have to start somewhere when we learn to draw and you are doing the right thing by choosing simple things to draw first.

This drawing is very clever how you can see the lady's face!

I love your title, it gives the drawing an extra dimension and hopefully gives the clue to finding the lady in the drawing. I think you've done a great job of it.
