fish 1 2 3
Hello Kerry
I am a primary school teacher and as I work with 7 year old children they like to see clipart on their worksheets.
I tend to get clipart from varied places but mostly I like to create it myself because I know what I need.
Most of my clipart drawings remain in pencil or pencil and black marker. I then scan them into my computer ready for use.
This fish started out in the usual way but when I scanned it I saw a lot of things I didn't like so I thought I'd give the once over in photoshop. This is drawing 2.
Then I decided to give it a full makeover and you see the result in picture 3. Even now I still think it needs more work but nevertheless here it is.
Regards
Nick Bird.
P.S. I hope you don't think the photoshop treatment is cheating because it takes about 2 hours to get to the colour version.
**Note from Kerry:
Hi Nick
No, I don't think the use of Photoshop is cheating. I can see how much work you have put into this process.
The fact is, you started with your own drawing and then you showed us what we can do to finish with the standard of your number 3 drawing. It is wonderful.
I also I appreciate the time you took to show us and to tell us how you did it. Thanks, Nick.
By the way, no artist is ever happy with their finished work! Don't beat yourself up over it, number 3 is just fine and the kids will love it!
