Getting Started

Hi there

Hi there

I am just beginning to draw and would like to be able to draw realistic portraits. I a trying to "self teach" through books, and a course I bought on line just recently over the internet which I hope will help.

I am a mother of a 3 year old so I do not get as much time to practice as I would like, but I am trying to get more in.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Tammy,
Your drawing is very well done for someone who is just starting. You will notice improvements with each drawing you do. Isn't it exciting?

Portraits are a tough subject, so I hope you stick with it and give yourself some time to learn it all.

Grids are also handy when you are learning portrait drawing.

Portraits
by: Bella

Hi Tammy,

Portraits are wonderful to draw. Difficult, yes! But I get so much pleasure doing them. One thing you must do is, leave it on the table overnight. Then when you see it in the morning with "fresh eyes" you might be like me and say "WOW!! I actually drew that!". It makes you feel really good.

Hope you will continue drawing portraits and well done.

Dear Marty,

I would love a copy of your ebook. If you passed it on to terry and she then passed it on to me I would be honored to have it. Tammy

Hello Tammy;

I think that this first drawing is a lot better than my first drawing. But the old saying goes like this " time heals all wounds " I hope my wounds heal after seeing this first time nice piece of your art work. Draw us some more please.

I also have an ebook on drawing. Let me know if you want it and I will email it to Kerry and she can pass it on to you. That is if Kerry doesn't mind?

With Kind Regards
Marty!
