All About Drawings has really opened this side of my character. I have gone through some stages that AAD helped me through.

At first, I just liked paintings and drawings.

Then I used to draw small pictures in small notebooks which weren't really nice and I didn't show those to anyone.

I had a fascination for abstract. Examples are some drawings using ball point pen, almost like this one in the picture (without color).

Later, I slowly started to sketch some of kerry's drawings...

Then I came up with sketches of many things.

Soon I found a rhythm and then I started drawing more and developed my style of drawing.

Now I am considerably good at sketch and impression.

Here is a painting or sketch, that I like a lot. I call it "Hope".

***Note from Kerry:
Hello Probal! It's great to hear from you again!

It sounds like you've been very busy with your art - good on you for experimenting until you discovered your likes and dislikes. It makes me very happy to see someone grow, the way you have done. Thank you for getting back in touch.

Your drawing is interesting, it's making me ponder why you chose to name it "Hope." Any clues? My first guess is the sun's rays being revealed to feed energy in all directions. I'll also guess that I'm completely on a different track to you!

If you post a comment, everyone can have an interesting discussion about it. That would be good fun.

Thanks Probal!

I don't usually like abstract drawings, however this made me think of how life can be complicated--like a puzzle. The Kite symbolizes that we can all reach higher within and outside ourselves--the contrasting colors also speak loudly of life's differences and yet compatability. Thanks for sharing this piece of Art.

Hey Probal
Thanks for giving your interpretation. I am amazed that I was thinking along the same lines as you. Abstract can be many things and it's not often that there is an agreement. I did see the bird but I couldn't guess its meaning.

A little walkthrough from the artist
by: Probal

I finally can draw sketches better than i did before. But i like this style because it still allows me to express my thoughts and i don't have to think about how good the sketch is; rather just the ideas.

This picture resembles a window, for which, i used lighter color in the background. The rectangles are our daily life and the window is our hope. The person in the picture is looking at the sun, while the kite(upper left) and the mask(lower right) are for life and death(they even have same colors, just the setting is opposite) the bird is for freedom, everyone seeks freedom in different perspectives.

Though i consider it like this, you may have other views also, which i would love to hear.
