In Honor of Mary

In God's Hands Now
I have been drawing portraits of all my family for Christmas gifts this year. But I have a sister that was born several years before me and she passed away at the tender age of only 2 weeks. I have no idea what this sister looked like.
But I found this drawing on jamisonart.com and it was exactly what I was looking for. This one is for my personal collection and in honor of the sister I never had the chance to know.
I shaded the page in with a #1 pencil and then went to work with my eraser. I never ever before consider an eraser for drawing. I only thought of it as a tool for fixing mistakes. But I really like the way this one turned out.
Sure hope you like it. I think this is one of the best I've ever done. And has more meaning than anything I've ever done before.
***Note from Kerry: This is a wonderful tribute to your sister, Patty. I really do love this drawing, too.
