Drawing Of Nefertiti

Drawing Of Nefertiti

I LOVE Egyptian stuff!!!!!!!!!

And one day I just really wanted to draw something Egyptian. So I did. This is a picture of the famous Egyptian beauty, Nefertiti. ^_^!!!

I am 13 years old.

**Note from Kerry:
Anna, I see you have sent in 3 lovely drawings, quite impressive really.
I'm sorry to say that only one of those can be displayed, as stories with one line don't meet the acceptance criteria.
Your art work is very good.
You could talk about how long you've been drawing, where you get your inspiration, what your favorite drawing media is, anything like that.
We'd all love to see more!

War Chief

I was inspired to draw this because of the ancestry on my mothers side. I have always had great respect and admiration for their culture and I was hoping to catch a little bit of this in this drawing.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi John, thank you for sharing this. I am in awe of the detail, your drawing is grand.

Skull

by David Horton

Skull

Skull

I had finished year one of my part time art course and i was due to go back for the second year when I realised i hadn't done much, if any, work!

I tried to get some pieces done in various media (except painting, as i am terrible at painting).

I was trawling the net looking for subjects to draw when i came across this picture of a skull and for some reason i just really, really liked it as it had lots of tones in it and i wanted something to challenge me at shading!

***Note from Kerry:
Wow David, you go all out when you want to challenge yourself! I looked at this with a magnifying glass, you've done a great job!

My Afternoon Pleasure

My Afternoon Pleasure

My Afternoon Pleasure

These are things I enjoyed much at noon. Biscuits, ice coffee and stylophone (mini electric keyboard).

Dip the biscuits into the ice coffee and play a song or two with stylophone. It's just great.

I keep practicing my drawing by trying to draw something in front of me. Sometimes I am surprised by the result. They may seem very different and interesting once they are drawn..

***Note from Kerry:
It's very good Atita. When I look at drawings like this, it makes me ponder more about the artist, so I thoroughly enjoy this type of artwork. Thanks for sharing your sketches with us.

An Optical Illusion

An Optical Illusion

You know mr.Kerry, there is a specialty in this picture.

When u see it from a distance u can visualize a granny & a grandpa. When u see the same nearer, u can visualize something specialllll, can u guess what?

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Anuja
I am Mrs Kerry but I don't mind you calling me Mr.

I can see your clever optical illusion - besides Grandma and Grandpa, I can see a man and a woman enjoying their music. Going by the hats, I'd say they look Mexican?

This is very clever! Well done.

Here is another attempt at drawing an Indian, I am really practicing on this.

I get help because I have Indian blood on my mothers side of the family. So I have a lot of pictures of my ancestors dressed in traditional clothing.

***Note from Kerry:
John, you must have some magnificent drawings. You have captured a good expression on the face of this brave. I really admire your work.

Take my hand

Take my hand

Hi Kerry..

Drawing hand and fingers are the most complicated part of human figure. Sometimes they frustrate me, for this one I make it big.

And, they are not bad I guess. what do you think ?

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Leotji, I love your title and the drawing is magic. To draw hands is hard, but it's certainly worth the effort when we see our finished work. You've done a good job with this!

Drawing Exercises

Hi Kerry.
I'm always happy to read your newsletter. It helps me and encourages me to draw as well.

This is the result of me practicing the blind contour and upside down drawing as the newsletter mentioned. It was really fun, i enjoyed it much. Thank you so much Kerry..

Oh, the hand number 3 drawn with my left hand, since I'm not a left handed person this was full of challenge, as the other two.

***Note from Kerry:
It's fun, isn't it Atita? I'm so pleased you enjoyed doing the exercises - you make me very proud!

Drawing On Thermacool

We bought another television set at my house :) and hence I got this thermacool which become the medium for my drawing.

I scratched my tiny brain and colored the thermacool sheet with acrylic blue, after a simple design of a lady carrying a pot in her head.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Viswanath, this is great! I like it, good job using your creativity.
