Blue river

This is a drawing I did on a conference room white board using a dry erase marker. It was interesting to work with the dry erase markers as you more or less push the ink around.

I only had a black and blue marker to work with.

Mountains

This is another one of those sketches I worked on today when I got a chance between projects. I enjoy adding the water features into my sketches as they are easy to incorporate.

Blue Falls

Hi, This is another one of those quick sketches on a dry-erase board. My last one had a blue river, this time I wanted to try for a blue waterfalls. I really need to find a couple more colors, brown and at least green. It is really interesting to work with these. As with all my sketches, no erasing allowed. :)

Mountain Range

This is a drawing of a mountain range. The sketch started as a simple mountain scene using the smaller mountain on the front left side with a few trees and I just started expanding to the right.

At the last minute I made the decision to add the background mountains as an experiment with just some basic shading.

Mountain Scene

This is a mountain scene that I wanted to share with you. I worked on it over a few days off and on while, again, waiting for my computer to boot.
I've been concentrating on adding more realistic detail to my mountains.

Twin Peaks

This is a mountain scene that I drew while I had a few minutes to experiment.

I am trying to introduce more shading in my drawings to give the scene a more realistic look/feel.

The original drawing is about 4" x 8".

Moon Rise

This is a sketch I did on a piece of 3-hole notebook paper.
Sorry it is a little blurry it came from my phone,I folded the paper and by using another piece of paper to block the overhead light I was able to turn it into a night scene with the hole looking like the moon rising. The light is being reflected off the folder paper behind the hole.

Mountain mirror

This is one of my first attempts at creating a scene being reflected into a calm lake. I have seen other drawings that looked really cool and I thought I would give it a try.

This is a simple sketch with not to many items, the method I used for this was to flip the sketch upside down and draw the reflected image.

2 Lakes and a River

Hi, This is a drawing I did this past weekend just messing around.

I am going through a 2 mountaion top phase and always enjoy adding a little water.

I don't plan my drawings but just kind of let things fall into place. If it looks like a lake could go there, it does.

Nature on an envelope

A Mountain Side

This is a quick sketch I did using only the side of a mechanical pencil 5mm lead. It worked good on the shading and creates soft mountains.
