First Live Portrait

This is a friend who asked me to sketch a portrait of her. So, this was my first attempt at a live portrait.

Great Drawing

I don't know how you did that! I always need a photo to draw a portrait! I would suggest that the next time you draw a person from life, draw the picture with as much detail as you can. Once that is finished, you can make it look more detailed using a photo of the same person. It doesn't have to be in the same pose.

Nice one

The drawing is very nice. I am sure all your friends would recognise the person in the picture. But problem with mly drawings are, when i try to draw someone, it becomes a nice picture of seomeone else!

I had two cancer patients ask me to do portraits today, it made me more than a little nervous, I am not comfortable doing portraits yet
