My first portrait

My first portrait

I took up drawing as a way to lose stress about two years ago and really enjoy it. I don't do it everyday but definitely on a weekly basis.

I'm trying different things, I like charcoal and I am discovering soft pastel which I really enjoy because of the colors and it's quite flexible.

I am happy to have fallen upon this site and enjoy looking at the efforts of others to make something nice and beautiful.
all the best to everyone
Alfred

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Alfred, I am pleased you found us too! It's great to see you are already experimenting with all mediums.

You have done a very good job with this portrait.

Drawing is certainly a fantastic stress reliever, plus I think it adds excitement to our lives.

Hi Alfred, it was so kind of you to thank each of us. Marty is right isn't he? The eyes follow you everywhere. I tried it too!

Marty really does examine each drawing and he sees things that I don't pick up first time. He is a gem.

We will all look forward to seeing some more of your work. It's great to have you as part of this lovely community.
