Orchid Bloom and Fairies

I drew this when my mother's orchid was in bloom.

I was amazed with its beauty. Then I imagined how would it be, if there are fairies that flew around the flowers, and presented the blooming flowers for my Mom because she has been taking good care of the garden and the plants.

I am also kind of inspired with fairies in "spiderwick chronicle".

I love how the wings look like the petals! This drawing is so colorful( A great detail for fairy drawings.), but I think it would look so much better if it had a background.

Dragan, i used colored pencil. it has a little problem with the color once it scanned. maybe i haven't found the right setting for scanning it. thank you for the rate..

Before i subscribe to your website, i was not believe in my self to draw, i stopped draw, i was only wishing to be able to draw, i was scare to even hold the pencil, until i read your monthly e-mail, "don't wish, just draw" and other words that encourage me to start to draw again.
