This is a Bull Mastiff that I drew a few weeks ago.
I used 100lb paper, hb, 2b, and h pencils with a tortillion to blend and a kneaded eraser to do highlights.

I drew this picture of the beagle from a book.. I used hb, h, 2b and 4b pencils...
I felt he fitted my mood that day. I love drawing dogs as I have always had dogs and their unconditional love and loyalty is so amazing ...

I used hb h2 h 2b 4b extra black pencils tortillions and 100 lb paper. This dog is a 10 month old pup from our gsd krista and I drew it for the owner.

My New Year Baby

Bulldog
Here is a picture of a bulldog that I drew recently from a book.
I used hb, 2b, h and 2h pencils. This one took a bit more time with more detail. It took me a couple of afternoons during stormy snow days this new year.
It was a great way to spend my snowed in days and bring in the New Year.

I drew this picture last week in an afternoon.
I used hb, 2h and 2b pencils and an h just for whisker markings.
I find once I am done the drawing I must step away from it to really see how it came out and then I make some corrections. I only had to make one on this one at the top of his ear.

This dog belongs to a friend of mine.
I used 100lb paper - white and h, hb, 2b, 4b and extra black graphite pencils along with tortillon for blending and shading.
He took me 4 hours to do.

I had not picked up a pencil in 20 years.
I used to draw a lot of Walt Disney characters for my children using pastels. I smoke and a lot so on my docs advice if you can't quit at least cut down. Well, it worked, I picked up that pencil in August and here is one of my drawings from a book.
In the beginning I was very heavy handed which has now left me (thank heavens). I used hb, 2b, 4b and h pencils.
