Sisters
by arish john andrews
(India)
This is the picture of two sisters. Can you guess who they are??
Yes....they are my sweet sisters Ansa and Anu.There is a story behind this picture. I copied it from a photograph which was taken years ago.
Let me introduce my sisters. They are very naughty and fun loving girls.. They make our home alive. Although they often quarrel with each other, they are best friends.
This photo was taken after one such quarrel. One day Ansa got angry with Anu over a silly matter. After that, to make Anu happy, Ansa gave her a rose..
This is the symbol of their true friendship and love.......
***Note from Kerry: Arish, that is such a beautiful story! I fell in love with your drawing as soon as I saw it. Your sisters must be adorable, it's plain to see you love them. I love your artwork!

Bedtime Prayer
I feel in love with this picture and just had to draw it. I believe it speaks volumes on how important it is to practice faith at an early age.
I will frame it and give it to my grandchild in hopes it will remind him how important bedtime prayer is.
***Note from Kerry: Hi Terry, It's great to see another one of your beautiful drawings. You have done a lovely job.

Here is a painting i did in some left over water color...
It didn't take as long as i thought (:
This is my first attempt at PAINTING a face and I'm kinda happy with the way it turned out...
Note from Kerry: Hi Lauren I have yet to dedicate time to water color but I do know it is a tough medium to master. I look at your work here and it amazes me that you can achieve that quality of work with your first go. You are going to be famous one day, kiddo.

Careless
by Lauren Sauers
(wilmington N.C.)
This one was actually really quick...about an hour and a half with the distractions of the tv (: done in colored pencils. I had alot of fun doing the eye makeup for some reason :)
Note from Kerry: Hey Lauren\! Your drawing is spectacular (as usual!). I'm so pleased you are drawing the makeup on paper and not on your face... right? She looks stunning, I like the way you have blended and achieved the look - you're so clever! But.. you don't need me to tell you that. By the way, you have done the hair perfectly! Do you use a kneaded eraser to get it looking just right?

Sus And Millie
by Jean
(Wisbech)
Sus and Millie
This is the first time I used water colour pencils (without water)! I was quite pleased with the outcome, and would love to do more, when I get the time.
I have just purchased some pastel pencils to try out on my next holiday.
Not sure what paper to use, pastel, or drawing paper, any ideas?
***Note from Kerry: Hi Jean, I would expect you could use any type of paper with pastel pencils. Sketchbooks have nice paper, and they come in all varieties, thick or thin.
Your drawing is very good, I can see character in their faces - well done!

***Note from Kerry: Hi Jubi, Your picture is fantastic! Did you use color pencils, pencil and ink? It looks like there is some wash in there, is that right?
