Note from Kerry: Hi Richard It's good to see you are still using your time wisely! This is a great drawing and it's obvious you are improving in leaps and bounds. -- Thanks so much for taking the time to show it to us.

by Richard Lund Winther
(Athens, Greece)
portrait of my gf ;)
This is actually something I decided to do because I love it when she smiles :D
So I started this 7 days ago I worked on it for about 6 hours totally... Ok maybe 7 :P
The word which is written in the heart is in Greek and it means I love you... hope you like it
p/s I forgot to sign it >.<
***Note from Kerry: Hi Richard, Gee, your portrait drawings have improved so much! If I compare it to your self portrait, it was good, but I can see how much your skills have grown since then. Great work!!

My Grandfather
by Richard Lund Winther
(Athens, Greece)
Hi everyone :) Hi, so this is another drawing I've done lately, it took me about 5 hours and I used a 2B, 5B and a 8B pencil and an eraser :)
So the story behind this drawing is that my family is coming to Greece this summer (they live in Norway) for my grandfather's 75th birthday so I did this drawing on an A2 paper for him when he comes :) It still has some things to fix though :) Hope you like it :) enjoy :)
Note from Kerry: Hi Richard Your drawing is excellent - I'd love to hear what your Grandfather thinks when he sees this. I'd say 'proud' would be a word he'll use. Considering you used A2 size (roughly 16 x 23 inches), wow, that's a lot of work!
You don't mention using color but I could swear the skin has a pink tinge... is that just me?
You've done a great job Richard, in a mere 5 hours, that's impressive stuff.

Note from Kerry: Wow Richard, that is an incredible improvement in 2 short years. The difference is fantastic! Here is the link to the portrait you sent in today... Portrait of Allison Iraheta.

Note from Kerry: Hi Richard It's great to see you are still drawing. Actually, to do something like this in 3 hours is a pretty mean feat, it has turned out beautifully. I like your effects. Good job!

Mysterious baby
by Richard Lund Winther
(Athens, Greece)
Hi everybody :) I recently uploaded a baby drawing of a laughing baby, this is the other part of my project, I used a 2B pencil to draw shadows and the sketch, I used faber castel colored pencil for the skin and all of the baby clothes, I used crayons for the star and the background :) hope you like it :) Richard
Note from Kerry: Richard, this is lovely! I find crayons hard to work with so I admire anyone who can use them properly. This is like a mixed media drawing and I think it has turned out fantastic!
