This young girl is an an actress and i sketched her portrait which was in the GO magazine...this is my 2nd sketch.

Theekshana, do you use guidelines or anything when you sketch? Do you use a blending stump? I like this drawing, it's good, thanks.

Thank you very much for your comments Kerry.. You are motivating me to sketch. Thanks a lot. well actually i don't use blending stump. I just sketch the rough outlines and then draw the rest. i use only different kind of pencils and an eraser.

i smooth out and blend pencil colors using my fingers.. it is not much difficult. that is how i shade even in paintings.

It's interesting to know what each artist does, don't you think? We all use different methods and I love to know how each drawing is done.

I drew this sketch on 15th Aug 2009. This is my 5th sketch.

I have sketched this on an A4 sheet using different kind of pencils.

Nithya, the rules of submission say that you need to write more than one line for a story. You could have told us a bit more about your empress, she looks fascinating.
