I have always liked to draw, but I have never been able to draw something that I am completely satisfied with.
There always seems to be something not quite right.

So, when I came across this website, I decided that I would give it another go. After spending the last couple of weeks practicing my drawing using various sketches from the site, I decided to attempt my first solo drawing.

I am very passionate about animals, and although it would probably have been easier for me to attempt something simpler, I decided to sketch my 3 year old gelding.

As I am fan of pencil drawings, I decided that that would be my style. I used a HB pencil to sketch the outline of my horse and then used the side of the same pencil to create the shading for his markings.

Like I said, this was my first attempt so I would really appreciate your comments.

First Horse Drawing!?

1. You are way too lucky to own a horse (Can you give him a carrot for me?)!
2. Based on this drawing, I can say that he is the cutest horse ever! My first horse drawing was horrible, and I could only draw one from the side. I still can't believe this is your first horse drawing! I've seen some people who draw horses that look like dogs( It's even funnier when someone is riding the "dogs"!). You have been able to draw a horse( Not a dog) from an angle other than the side.

I am a horse lover!!!! I like all animals,but horses are my favorite. I look for perfection in my horse drawings - you did an amazing drawing.
