Agatha, a gothic fantasy pencil drawing
The drawing of Agatha is an attempt to draw a kind of gothic girl on a chair with a lot of detail.
Kind of hard to achieve, actually. I'm going to redraw this drawing with better technique, like better shading and a detailed background.
But for now...this drawing is finished. Practise makes perfect. (hope so)
I used magazines for the reference, and of course drawing paper and pencils.
Pencils used: Caran d'ache B, B2 and F.
Thanks for looking.
Pencil Portrait Drawing #2
This is my latest drawing. It's a portrait drawing of... nobody, it's just a fantasy girl.
I always use magazines for reference, I don't try to copy, but I use photos for the basic lines.
I'm still learning, I really need to improve the shading and how to draw the hair properly.
Note from Kerry:
Hi Arthur,
I admire your persistence with practicing and also with the challenges you set yourself. May I add that you end up with mighty fine drawings and you should be very proud of your artwork!
The drawing of Agatha is very clever and I couldn't believe the intricate detail on that chair! Wow! You must have incredible patience, that is a masterpiece. The whole drawing is amazing to study, thank you.
For the second portrait drawing, I admired the way you did her make-up! It looks fantastic and she is very pretty. I can't see a thing wrong with the hair or the shading - I'd be over the moon if I could produce something like this.
Thanks Arthur.

Ok....wow....sorry this is so late.....your drawings are awesome. I think your shading is very good, and your hair is just fine. You certainly have a flair for details, and patience. Your second drawing (the portrait of....nobody), your style is reminiscent of another artist here, Lauren. Great pieces, I am looking forward to seeing more.

Suna - Just A Portrait
The first drawing is just a portrait of a woman, created with minor reference.
I like to draw my drawings just as how I see them in my head.
Of course I learned the basics of drawing, and especially how to draw faces, but I don't follow specific 'rules.'
For this drawing I used a Pentel 0.5mm B pencil, and a B/B2 pencils for shading.
***Note from Kerry:
That is a very good drawing, Arthur, well done! I like your effects and how you did her hair.
Drawing #2 - Pencil drawing fantasy girl
For the fantasy girl drawing, I used a Pentel B, B2 and F pencil.
Without background.
Thanks for looking.
Note from Kerry:
Arthur, your drawing of the fantasy girl is just lovely!
I have added this latest drawing of yours to an existing page so your admirers have more to see at once. Hope that's ok with you, I think it looks good and it shows off your versatility.
