An Indian Woman

An Indian Woman

When i was going through my old drawing books, i saw a picture of this beautiful lady...

The moment i saw her i was tempted to draw her... though my picture is not that perfect, i tried my level best.....is it looking good?....or is there any correction? how could i improve my drawing style, mam?

***Note from Kerry:
Nithya, you could probably teach me a lot about drawing, so I am not the person to ask. It's my pleasure just to see your lovely drawings. As usual, I think you've done a good job.

Great Drawing
by: Anonymous

This drawing is very realistic. The shading could have been a little better. There was an extremely light spot on her face, and the shading and highlights could have been blended better. I love this drawing, but the shading was done in a way that makes it look a little like fog.

personality in portrait

You not only captured her beauty, but her attitude as well. She seems alert, guarded, maybe even angry. Perhaps she is about to become engaged to someone who is not of her choosing, or feels threatened in some other way. That is what I see in her face and her posture.
