Spring Arrives!

Proof of Spring

One day, I decided to see if spring had arrived, so I went to my local arboretum to find out for sure. I sketched this tree because I love the uniform shape. It has a quality of a natural shape along with some scraggly branches near the bottom.

I like the interesting contrast and challenge. I sat on a bench and sketched for one half hour. I also included a photo (inset top right) that I took of the tree before I sketched it.
