Variety in Bloom Red Amaryllis Coneflowers and Wildflowers

The three pictures I have submitted were drawn with permacolor pencils.

I have always loved to draw and am totally self taught. Lately my favorite subject is flowers. Could be the summer season has inspired me!

This website is very helpful in aiding me to become a better artist. I would love to have some feedback from other artists or the site owner. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for being there!
Cindy

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Cindy,
I love your artwork! You have done great justice to each piece, I really admire them. If I had to pick one, I have to say my fav is the Wildflowers.

Hi Cindy

At the top of the page, under the image, you will find the link to Your Space. When you hover your mouse over it, all the different categories are listed there. Click whichever one you like and find all the drawings towards the bottom of each page.

Alternately, if you click on Your Space, that page has a list of all the categories too.

If you were to click on Your Animal Drawings, scroll past the uploading boxes to get to all the links.

Happy hunting!

Inspired by everyone
by: Cindy

Hi Marty and Kerry and all who have looked at my work and commented. It really does inspire me to keep drawing. I love your site Kerry because it's extrememly helpful and everyone is so nice. I feel right at home! I have 2 works in progress. The drawing of my grandson is one. He has great big blue eyes but I'm afraid in my drawing he looks a little possesed because I made his eyes a bit big. So, I think I'll try again before I upload it. I'm now working on a landscape acrylic painting. A medium that I've never used before and challenging to say the least. I Have always been intimidated by paint(unless it's house paint..ha ha) but have been inspired enough to a least try it. I'll let you know how it goes!
I want to look at other site members works and want to know if the blog area is the only place to see them?

Thanks Michael
by: Cindy

Thanks so much for the very nice compliment Michael! I too love the rich colors. I really like working with permacolor pencils because you can apply soft touch to get an almost pastel type shady look or apply firm pressure to get the deep rich colors I achieved. I really like pencil medium because I can get it to look the way I want it to look. Being self taught, I just go with what I like...Again, thank you...I appreciate your kind words!

these are absolutely awesome! From what I can see, there is no advice that I can offer you.....you do perfectly already! I can't say which is my fav...they are all just incredible, I really love the deep rich colors....I think I might need to check into the Permacolor pencils.....as soon as the economy permits me to do so.....grrrr.

thanks Rhonda

Thanks for the compliment Rhonda! Although, they are done with permacolor pencils not painting. Some day I'll venture out and try painting but up till now I find it a little intimidating still.

Thanks
by: Cindy

Thanks so much for the comments Kerry and Rachel! I think I like the "Wildflowers" the best too. Although I thought I did a pretty good job on the Marigold in the "variety" pic..other than that it's a little "busy". I like the minimalist of the Wildflowers. Thanks so much for taking a look and commenting. It only inspires me to do more! I'm working on a watercolor pencil drawing of my grandson and almost done. I'll upload it soon. Only done a few "people" drawings...they're the hardist!
Thanks again,
Cindy
