Retriever
by Rhonda
(Jacksonville, NC USA)
I love to draw animals.
I drew this retriever because at one time a dog like this came into our lives. I say this because he jumped into my husband's van one day and he brought him home. We tried to find his owner but no one came to claim him, so he stayed with us.
We called him Bear. He loved our then 4 small children, when they were outside he protected them and would wait in the evening at the road for them to get off the bus. He would push open our sliding glass doors and go and sleep on the couch (he snored like a freight train LOL).
We all loved him very much and then one day he left. We searched and searched but we couldn't find him. I like to think he came into our lives for a reason and when his job was done he went to another family that needed him.
***Note from Kerry: He's adorable, Rhonda. You have captured the gentleness perfectly.
Thank you for providing such a heart-warming story, Rhonda. I do believe everything happens for a reason -- working it out can keep us on our toes though!

Beautiful Butterfly
by caitlin
(london)
I love it
I was sitting watching t.v and I got really bored with it, Soo I picked up the art book my mum got me and started drawing.
It was very hard what to think of first but then I came up with a butterfly. It started out really bad but then I kind of changed it, so it was really pretty and beautiful. I was really proud of myself, so I called it Beautiful Butterfly and it suits that name!
***Note from Kerry: Hi Caitlin, it is beautiful. Good job.

Lone camel
I live in Kuwait and I see camels out in the desert sometimes. Also, when I had to go to Oman I saw alot running loose.
I know I'm not very good yet, but I keep trying.
***Note from Kerry: You are doing very well, Nasima, and you are doing the right thing by continuing to draw things that fascinate you or capture your interest.
I really like this drawing of yours, thanks for sharing it here.

Wolf Drawing

Barts Art
I saw a picture of this wolf in a drawing book - maybe "How to draw Animals", I'm not sure. I used a #2 pencil on computer paper.
I enjoy drawing a good variety of subjects like animals, cartoons, people and landscape.
***Note from Kerry: Hi Barton, I knew this drawing would be worth waiting for! Wow, I am mightily impressed.
I am so grateful that you persisted with trying to upload the drawing and I am proud of you!
Your drawing has great emphasis, I really like it. Keep going!

Little Doe
by Brooklyn Lynch

So, this is my first attempt at drawing a doe. She took like four hours and she could use some tuning now that I know whats a matter with her.
She was inspired by uncle, who is in the hospital right now due to a horrible diving accident. He is a deer hunter *rolls eyes at stupid boy thing* so I drew this in hope of making him change his ways, FAIL!
Thank you for your time, and keep doin' what you love!
***Note from Kerry: Hi Brooklyn, You have a unique drawing style that is very appealing. I hope you continue to draw, it'd be a shame to waste that talent of yours.

A Picture of horse
I love horses from my childhood. One of my deepest memories of my childhood is me drawing a horse and getting appreciation from my family.
I think the love for horses is with every artist as this animal represents so perfectly the beauty and harmony of nature.
This is a horse drawing I did a few days ago. The subject was a picture from the internet.
***Note from Kerry: Gosh Taimoor, you have my utmost admiration for your artistic skills. Your work is awesome.

Trying my hand at horses
by paula
(uk)
Hi all,
I tried drawing horses today, heads not too bad, but the body, ha! That's why my horses only have heads, maybe it will get better in time x
Note from Kerry: Hi Paula Believe it or not, you are doing the right thing by trying to master one thing at a time! If you were to draw another page of horses heads, you will be amazed by how fast you improve. It's simply the rhythm of practicing and getting better each time.
If this is the first time you have attempted horses, well, I tip my hat off to you, you have done a splendid job! Keep going, it's easy to see you are loving it so don't let anything stand in your way!
p.s. Paula, there are new submission guidelines now that state you must ask for notification to comments to your page or your submission will not be approved. I know you watch for your page so if you would be so kind to make a comment here and then check the notification box, I would appreciate that very much. Thanks Paula.

Horse Head
by Nancy
(Philly Pa.)
A horse is a horse, of course, of course!!!
I've been drawing horses all my life, but never this well. What makes this one different?
I went and got a "realistic drawing" art book (how-to) and it's made all the difference in the world!
Hope you all enjoy, also invest in a good book about drawing and you'll get where you want to be ...practice really does make perfect! Good Luck and God speed!!
***Note from Kerry: Thanks Nancy, your drawing is wonderful. I'm sure everyone will want to know which book you bought?

I'm 13. This drawing took me 16 hours to complete on very large portfolio paper.
I don't know what I think about it still.
Please tell me your opinions (:
***Note from Kerry: Hi Jasy I'm a little worried you're not going to see our opinions since you haven't requested to be notified when anyone comments. If you do see this, please make a comment here on your page and then request to be notified when someone kindly posts feedback for you.
Phew, after saying all that, let me add that I was very impressed with your drawing especially considering you are only 13 yrs old. You'll be selling your artwork within a year!

Tribal Tiger
by Richard Lund Winther
(Athens, Greece)
Hi everybody :) This is a tribal tiger I did a while ago, I like it because of the blue colour :) Richard
Note from Kerry: Richard, I like it because we use our imagination to fill in the blanks. Did you draw this tiger? I simply love this style, it's very clever.

Duna the Cheetah
by Brooklyn Lynch
(Yakima, WA)

This pencil drawing was inspired after watching 3 hours of "Big Cat Diaries" on Animal Planet.
When I grow up I want to work with big cats and bears, and elephants, anything big and scary! So, yes I do realize she has no ears, they aren't... Well... Eeek.
Thank you, and keep doin' what you love!
***Note from Kerry: Hi Brooklyn I think your drawing is great just the way it is! You are the artist and you can draw whatever appeals to you.
This would also look wonderful if you painted it in vibrant colors and hang it on the wall!

My Tuxedo Cat
by Jean-Francois Bissonnette
(Montreal, Qc, Canada)
My Tuxedo Cat
I began drawing (seriously) last April (2009). All my life I thought I was not good.
I decided to try with a little more effort to get to this result seven months later.
***Note from Kerry: Hi Jean-Francois, Please don't be fooled by the "I can't draw" syndrome. We can all draw, it's simply practice that makes perfect. Once you continue drawing, it becomes more natural and you start producing fine work which will surprise you! By looking at your drawing, I can see you have much talent and great things await you!
I love the title you gave to your drawing - very clever and well done to you, good job!

Real Wolf
I have kind of been in to drawing lately, and I've always loved drawing dogs and wolves. The wolves were never very good.
As I was looking up videos, I saw this one. It's weird though, I stopped watching the video after I got the basic form, and did the detail and everything myself.
***Note from Kerry: Hi there, I'm sorry I can't address you by name -- it seems you have forgotten to include it when you sent in your drawing.
If you see this, please make a comment on your page and let us know your name. Also, you can select to be notified when someone comments on your drawing otherwise you'll never know about any praise that comes your way.
