Rat Truck Drawing

by Josef

Rat Truck

Rat Truck

I drew up this truck while attending an automotive technician school.

I have plans on building a hot rod someday.

A number 2 pencil and a 8x11 paper was used.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Josef
I love your drawing, it's very well done.

I hope you've been saving to build that hot rod -- they don't come cheap.

Mystery Race Car

by Josef Rocha

Mystery Race Car

Mystery Race Car

This drawing is based on a photo of an old race car body. I have no idea what make or model it is. It was either a drag car or a track car. I drew it up as a drag racer from the early 1960s.

I used perspective lines,a graphite pencil and blending sticks for shading. A mechanical pencil was used for detailing.

If you know the name of this car, please let me know.
Josef Rocha.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Josef, that's a cool car drawing, that's for sure! I'm sorry I can't help you to identify it. I admire your good drawing.

It is still out there...
by: Paul Jaray

Hey very cool stuff!
I think I know this car and I'm in contact with the owner.
He only knows some bits and parts of it.
I posted the pics I have in a forum, Autopuzzles, looking for info.

Not a Vette
by: Josef

The body is metal as there is rust everywhere. The top is way too short but it reminds me of a Studebaker. It can just be a custom body.

Car Lineage...
by: Jim

Stingray? Maybe the top half, but the belt line is too straight. Try the body from a 64½ or 65 Mustang. Open wheels say it's a modified dirt tracker. Close?

Keep the graphite flying!

I use "stippling," I find it to be the most satisfying style for me, it's almost foolproof, but people think that it is soo hard to do! I teach drawing on my website.

***Note from Kerry:
Very nice, Rico! I also enjoy stippling.

I drew this from a photo that I took at "The Love Ride," a charity bike ride that was lead by Jay Leno for many years.

Everything i draw is from imagination, free hand and ink straight to paper, it either goes well or gets thrown in the bin!

I then scan them onto the computer and play. Some are engineered from paintbrush pixel by pixel.

I have around 700 images that I dont know what to do with.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Johnny5ive! I have to say I love your style. I wonder if you've thought to sell your drawings at markets? You'd certainly find fans of your work. Ask around, people love drawings so you can give them away if you like. It's criminal to throw them away.

Santa Anna Marie

by Marty
(U.S.A.)

Hello Everyone.

Here's a drawing I free handed of a ship that Michael Betz did. It is his artwork that I free handed this from. As always I used the mechanical pencil. It's not the same as Michael's, which by the way is a lot better than mine, but I had never drawn a ship before and I needed something to go by.

Hope you don't mind Michael.

Kindly

Marty!

Note from Kerry:

Gee Marty, I think Michael will be very proud of your efforts.
This is the link to Michael's 15th Century Ship and your version is certainly good. Well done, Marty!
