Winding Down
December 21, 2007
Hi

Ok, who stole 2007? I can't believe it's December already!

Here's a brief update of what's happening at the moment.

I am looking into giving the site a face lift. This isn't going to be an easy task considering All About Drawings has grown so much this year.

I have found a screen layout that I really love. This will take me on another steep learning curve but rather than be intimidated, I am so excited!

I approach new drawing techniques with exactly the same frame of mind, in case you hadn't noticed!

Anyway, as soon as you notice the new changes, feel free to let me know what you think. I'd love some feedback. The Home page will be the first to change. I have no clue when this will happen, it depends on how fast I pick up new tricks!

I know it doesn't really matter how the site looks, it's main purpose is to get you motivated to start drawing and then to draw some more.

This new look enables me to use the whole screen so I'll have more room to play with. I'll still be keeping the layout simple.

There are 2 ways you can find any drawings you are looking for.

On the Sitesearch Page, you just key in the type of drawing you are seeking and it will display all appropriate pages for that search term. You can choose to search just my site, or the web.

On the other hand, you can go to my Sitemap. All the links there are self explanatory.

Panther Drawings

On this page you'll find a few pencil illustrations of this large black cat. As usual, I've included some general information about the animal.

There's a real little artist community building around Your Drawings:

I think it's terrific that you all comment on each other's work with such encouraging remarks.

Tip of the Month

To succeed in anything depends on how much effort you put in.

For example, you will definitely improve with your drawings if you get into the habit of carrying a sketchbook around with you.

If you focus on drawing with patience and purpose, you are bound to achieve knowledge and experience. It can't get simpler than that.

Just study one thing at a time, try not to move too fast for your own capabilities. The last thing you want to do, is quit!

Thank you,, for taking the time out of your busy day to read this issue.

Next time I talk to you, it will be in the new year. Until then, I sincerely hope you have a lovely Christmas, filled with plenty of good cheer and laughter.

You can simply reply to this email if you have any feedback you'd like to share.

with best wishes

Kerry.
