Me and my trusty pick-up
Well, I was born at a very early age. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember.
My first memory was drawing cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd from comic books when I was 5-years-old. I've never had any drawing lessons.
I used to paint with oils a lot. I did sell a few of those several years ago. I rarely work with oils anymore (I think I got too lazy to clean brushes).
I have also drawn some editorial (political) cartoons and I did sell a few of those to a couple of local magazines and newspapers but I never could get with a syndicate. I still do those from time to time just for my own fun. I sometimes email them to penpals and friends.
I am a US Navy Veteran.
Oh yes,I can also play the guitar--I backed up Elvis on "Kentucky rain" .....Ok,Ok...That's not true-I can't play anything and I never met Elvis. But all the rest is true.
***Note from Kerry: Hi Dennis! Thank you very much for sending in some information about you, it's great to know and I am pleased to meet you.
I enjoyed your last paragraph, you almost had me there!
I also used to draw cartoon characters when I was very young but, like the majority, I didn't follow through with drawing until I was much older.
I look forward to seeing more of your work, thanks for sharing it with us. Here are some links to your drawings that appear on this site:
