My college mate

by Manjunath
(Bangalore)

This sketch was drawn after a very long time I thought of doing it.
I met this friend by chance on facebook and got this pic.
I was so interested in drawing this that I just logged into my work left my laptop aside and finished the drawing during my morning. I tried to cover as much as details as much as possible. I need a trainer anyways myself trying to get better day by day.

The Face of Age

by Gopesh Dadhich
(Kota, Rajasthan, India)

This is a portrait of an old man having seen 107 springs.
It was a hard nut to crack for me but taking it as a challenge made it look easy.
Having spent 4 nights (23 hours) working on this project, i used 0.5 mm mechanical pencil, 3B, 6B paper bud and 6B and 8B graphite pencils to blend it.
It made me happy and proud.

Note from Kerry:
Hi Gopesh,
I have been staring at your drawing for ages, I cannot get over what a brilliant job you have done -- it's hard to imagine this is a drawing! I just love the beard. It is unreal, great job, seriously, this is soooo good.

My grandson has a great passion for drawing portraits, he also enjoys drawing cartoon characters, action figure characters, horses, and he wants to one day draw the whole person - that is his next project to study and to draw.

Father?

Father?

Father?

This is a sketch of Jesus looking toward the Heavens. I feel like he is seeking peace from God His Father.

Note from Kerry:
Hi Tamatha,
There is so much more you can tell us... how long have you been drawing for? How long did it take you to draw this? What is your favorite drawing subject?

The reason those questions come into my mind is because I am fascinated as to why you picked such a difficult topic to draw. You have done a very good job so that tells me you must have been drawing for some time now, is that right? Great work!

My friend

by Sindhu
(Shimoga India)

I have been practicing pencil sketching for three years.

This is one of my art work. The work i did here is my friend's sketch. I know this is not perfect but still more practice and hard work will do better.

artist
Note from Kerry:
Hello
I think your sketch shows great promise and I don't think it will be too long before you reach the quality you are seeking. I would be extremely happy if I had produced this sketch so it's good work, in my opinion.

You have forgotten to give your name and location so if you could post a comment here and let us know who you are, that would be great, thanks.

My colleague

by manjunath
(bangalore)

This is my friend and colleague who is going to leave our project, to give him a surprise I have sketched this.
Initially the sketch didn't look exactly like him, anyways finally with all correction it looks like him now.
Got it framed and ready to give. Will comment his expression once I give it to him.

artist
Note from Kerry:
Hi Manjunath

Pencil drawing

This is Trish, she looks a bit sad, but that's just coincidence.
It's a simple drawing, but I decided to share it anyway, it's been a long time since I contributed to the allaboutdrawings pages.
For this drawing I used A B and an F pencils on thick drawing paper.
Thanks for looking.

Note from Kerry:
Hi Arthur
