Spiderman and Emblems

by Cindy Barnard
(Bloomington, Indiana USA)

Last time I went to see the grandkids, Nolan wanted me to draw Spiderman. He's crazy about that guy! He has the pj's, blanket, pillow case, toys...you name it, he's got it with Spiderman all over it. He was also the character for Halloween...go figure!! haha!

I framed them for him so he could put them in his room. Custom spray painted the frames too because I couldn't find colored ones! The emblems are just icing on the cake! I know he's going to love them too! He'll be getting them on Thanksgiving Day...can't wait to see his face!
Cindy
ps: these were done free hand using prismacolor pencils and lots of love...I only used a compass to draw the circles.

***Note from Kerry:
Well, all I can say Cindy is that you have blossomed into an incredible artist right before our very eyes! I am so impressed with your work here. Amazing stuff, it looks very professional and people would pay a lot to own these. Nolan is going to be over the moon with joy, I think.

I used to be a Spiderman fan as well. You have done an incredible job on these. I stand corrected on a previous comment I made...there is one guide thing I do use and that is the compass for circles, and once in a blue blue moon I will use a divider....but not very often. You have really stepped up the competition Cindy.....great pieces, that I believe will be around in the family for many many years.

Oh I'm sure he'll treasure them Cindy, especially when you told him how much he means to you - with words and with this gift you made for him. At least, those are the things I treasure in this life. I think you are a wonderful grandmother and you set a fine example for others.

Kerry the Encouragement Queen!
by: Cindy

Thanks Kerry! I'm blushing! Nolan was very happy to get them on Thanksgiving Day! We immediately went to his room and put them on his dresser! I told him how special he was to me and showed him the back of each where I signed and dated them and wrote him a little note. I know he'll keep them for many years to come(hopefully pass them to his kids when he grows up and has a family)! Just dreamin!
I had a great time drawing these for him! Used colored prisma pencils.
Your friend,
Cindy
