Iris

IRIS

IRIS

This is one of my first flower drawings, I got a little lazy when it came to the leaves, but I am just learning.

***Note from Kerry:
I remember doing the same thing Linda and I attributed it to impatience to see how it looks. You have done a fantastic job of the complicated iris.

Pansy

Pansy

Pansy

I am trying to learn shading and blending, and love flowers.

I know the leaf should be a little more off center though.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Linda, the beauty of nature is that it is unpredictable. No-one would know where the leaf really goes if you don't say anything! I love your pansy, it is very well done. It's nice to see you are having fun.

Poppy

Poppy

This the first drawing uploaded on this site. It a simple poppy, done with a 2b pencil.

I coloured it with adobe photoshop.

I hope you like it.

***Note from Kerry:
Welcome to you, Maria-Cristina. Your artwork is so pretty. I'd love to see it in pencil, without any enhancements. Therein lies the real beauty. I'm sure it would be magnificent.

Poppy - pencil drawing

Poppy (pencil drawing)

Poppy (pencil drawing)

I uploaded this drawing before, but you said you would like to see the sketch ... I know this site is more about pencil drawing , but I really like to play with photoshop.

Anyway, this is the original drawing, hope you like it :D (sorry about the picture's quality, my scaner is broken and I had to use my camera)

***Note from Kerry:
Maria-Cristina, I thought the original (Poppy) would be outstanding - and it is!

We are all different and we like different things (thank goodness, other the world would be pretty boring!) but I love this one more than the colored one. It tells me more about you, the artist.

Girl in the forest

by kitty
(romania)

This girl makes me think about a fairy, a magical creature living in a forest.
She is watching you from behind that big tree.

Doodle Daisy Drawing

Doodle Daisy Drawing

I started drawing and ended up with this...

a daisy peeking out at the new world, seemingly shy at first.

I guess you would call it a "daisy doodle."

Small & Cute

This is a drawing of some dead leafs I found on the ground ...

they were so small and cute I just had to draw them >_<

I used an H pencil and a B pencil for the shade

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Zuhar
Your drawing is lovely, the arrangement is perfect. It's very delicate and your detailing is very well done.

Simplicity

by Briana
(Virginia)

This is a pen and ink piece that challenged me because it was the first time I had used this tool. It is splotchy, but I think that just adds to the picture. I think people should appreciate simple things.

Ive always liked things with understated elegance such as a flower or a lake. I'm really proud of this picture because this is the best flower I've ever drawn.

***Note from Kerry:
Briana, you have every right to be proud, I like your drawing too... and so the artist blossoms from within. Keep going with your drawings, you're doing just fine!
