Basics of Drawing a Sketch

Greetings of the day...

i would like to request you to provide some information on how to start drawing from the very first step. I m new in this field but I m very eager to make sketches of people, things etc... but the thing de-motivates me is that I dont know the basics of this art :(

I have tried to draw a few pictures on my own.. but I wish I could draw more realistic pics.

Please please give me some information on this....

Hello Mayur. From what I can see from your drawing, you have the basics down pat! In my opinion, you are beyond the basics. You did a fantastic job on your sketch. I feel that the basics would actually move you backwards. You just keep doing what your doing, study other peoples works, and your progression will be astounding!
