I Quit

by southpaw/inkstorm

Sacrifice

Sacrifice

In this piece, i tried to portray an angel who has given up her heavenly role after falling in love with life as we know it and painfully sacrificed her own wings in order to show God her willingness to stay on earth.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Rick, thanks for giving the story behind your drawing, it makes it so much more interesting. Your work is very good and I like your detail. Good job!

Dragons Keep

Dragos alertous

Dragos alertous

In a land of constant battle, it's good to befriend a dragon ...food and nesting rights in trade for protection!!! A most desirable trade for both sides.

***Note from Kerry:
Cool dragon Rick! Great detail, good drawing.

For a Demon, You've Got Fresh Breath!

This demon looks so bad -- you would never guess his breath is suprisingly pleasant.

***Note from Kerry:
He must use green mouthwash!

Squid-Dragon

Squid-Dragon

Squid-Dragon

Hello all.
My name is Jannick and I have been drawing all my life.

The last few years I've been working with kids. They are very fond of my drawings, so I basically draw them one or two a week (that we copy so they can color them).
This "Squid-Dragon" was an idea of one of the children. They have many wonderful ideas, but the boys mostly want something mean and scary.

So that was the main thought behind this drawing. He was very clear about that fact he wanted some bad ass tentacle work, and it should look menacing. (In short: this is one of many drawings I've done for the kids. Hope you like it)

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Jannick, I think he's a very cool squid-dragon! He would look fantastic colored in.

The Unknown Man

The Unknown Man

The Unknown Man

I love to draw the first thing that comes into my head. In this drawing, I have used like sort of an ink blot test.

Everyone I have shown this to, thinks he means something different. This gives me a real insight to the minds of these people.

I see him as a protector, but others have seen darkness, love and even childhood in him.

I'm not a very skilled artist but decided to take this man to another level and find out what other people see in him!

please let me know,
love, coley x x x x

ps I'm sorry the picture isn't good quality.

***Note from Kerry:
Hi Coley, the beauty of art is to allow the viewer to interpret a piece themselves. I think you have discovered a talent that lies within you. I hope you continue to explore with it.

I think it is the wicked witch from a fairy tale!
Well done, Nicole!
