I picked a long twig of honeysuckle from my garden. I propped it up outside and began to sketch it.
I used a sketch pad and an Artline .4 felt tip pen to show you how beautiful it looks.
I am recovering from an operation so this is a perfect time for me to practice my drawings. I hope you like it!
Note from Kerry:
This is a truly beautiful drawing, Jessie. If I was you, I'd frame it!

One day, I decided to see if spring had arrived, so I went to my local arboretum to find out for sure. I sketched this tree because I love the uniform shape. It has a quality of a natural shape along with some scraggly branches near the bottom.
I like the interesting contrast and challenge. I sat on a bench and sketched for one half hour. I also included a photo (inset top right) that I took of the tree before I sketched it. The visual documentation and text of my day is here: http://artellacafe.com/blogs/desire2reinvent/archive/2008/04/24/13044.aspx
***Note from Kerry:
Hi Mary
Thank you so much for including the photo. This will help everyone see what can be achieved from photo to paper. I also enjoyed your blog, thanks for sharing. The photos are lovely.

Hope u all like this.

I always noticed how a plant just grows then fades away. Like humans we are here for a short while but plants they take death easier than we do. But, I say some of us take death easier than a plant. Look at it, we are just alike.
Just a thought...
**Note from Kerry:
Johnnoin, thanks for sharing this insight. You'll have everyone pondering. Nice sketch!

I have always liked the way trees look when Fall becomes Winter, and the last leaf falls victim to the changing season.
Unfortunately, living in Florida, the seasonal changes are not as drastic, so I created my own tree.
**Note from Kerry:
Hi Teresa
I like your drawing style. This drawing gives the viewer something to ponder, watching that leaf make it's final journey.

I found this drawing in a book. I thought it was attractive so I copied it and tweaked it to suit myself.
I'm experimenting with my first set of charcoals and I'm loving every minute.
**Note from Kerry:
Hi Melissa! I really like this drawing. You're doing very well considering you've just started. Keep going.

I have been doodling and sketching for many years. I now have a job that has slow time and my mind has been wandering.
I took a piece of copy paper and my #2 pencil and looked around my office. I found this flower, I have no Idea what kind it is but the shading and lines were a lot of fun.
**Note from Kerry:
What a shame you forgot to put your name to it, it is so nice!

Once, while having tea in the garden i noticed these flowers...and I felt like having those in papers too.
At first i thought of colouring it, but as i went on with pencils...i liked it and completed as such!
***Note from Kerry:
Ah, this one is so beautiful Sushree. You have captured the flower to perfection. Well done.

This is a drawing that I drew when I was 12. I love all the colors that flowers have.
They fill the room with such vitality. And that's I why I thought it would be fun to draw this ^_^
**Note from Kerry:
Anna, this is just beautiful. I also love the colors you have used here. The drawing is well done and it's sure to inspire everyone.
