Girls At Play
This picture is simply what I imagine my best friend and I would have done if we had met as young girls. I have a picture taken of us once, collecting shells on a beach.
In the picture, though, we are much older than how I drew us here.
** Note from Kerry: What a beautiful memento. This would make a good gift for your friend. I'm sure she'd treasure it.

Girls Grow Up by: Nancy Teresa, you pointed out the advantage of drawing over photography. Photos are limited to what really happened. Drawings capture what might have happened, or what might yet happen. They are limited only by our imaginations.

Portrait of Ophelia

Portrait Of Ophelia
This a drawing of how I pictured "Hamlet's" Ophelia would look. I enjoy the story and of course have seen several of the movie versions. Yet, still whenever I think of her, this is how she appears.
Books work the imagination. Use them to help when putting pencil to paper.
Edited to add comments: Personalized Ophelia by: Nancy Teresa, your drawing and comment are a perfect example of why I enjoy reading so much, and encouraged my children to read. We create people and scenes in our mind's eye that are our very own. You've gone a step further and put your own unique scene on paper. Lovely!
Interesting by: Anonymous Simple, yet effective. And creative, too, good job
